I want to apply to the Evening Degree Program, what do I need to do?
To be admitted to the Evening Degree Program you must be 23 years of age, complete and return an application or apply online, and request official transcripts from high school, colleges, and technical schools.

I might want some type of financial aid, what can High Point University offer me?
Financial Aid is available from the following resources: North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant, low interest student loans, Veterans Benefits, and Employer Tuition Assistance. Download financial aid forms or find out if you are eligible by calling the Office of Financial Planning at 336.841.9124.

Can I still work full-time and attend college full-time?
Yes! In The Evening Degree Program you can earn 12 hours per semester, the same as a full-time day student. The EDP offers classes 3 nights a week; Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday. Our courses run in 8 - week sessions with 2 class periods being offered every session. 1st period is 6:00-7:40 p.m. & 2nd period is 7:50- 9:30 pm.

How do I determine what courses will transfer to High Point University?
The Evening Degree Program accepts transfer credits from regionally accredited institutions. All transferable credits that do not fulfill a general education or major requirement may be transferred as elective credits.  To browse the North Carolina Community College Equivalencies click here.

I don't even know where to start, is someone available to help me?
Always! Advisors are  always available to meet with you (with or without an appointment) to assist with course scheduling, guide you in the academic process, lend an ear, and cheer you on when you graduate!

Can I register for classes online?
Registration is a 2 part process.
Step One: PRE-REGISTER 
    a) Online through MYSTUFF or
    b) In Person Registration
Step Two: Finalize REGISTRATION  
    a) Online Registration Verification (through MyStuff) or 
    b) In person Registration. 
If a student cannot attend registration they may a) send another person in their place to complete the registration procedure, b) attend registration at the other campus or c) register late on the first day of class beginning at 5 p.m. for a $25 late fee.

I don't want to get a degree, can I still take classes?
If you do not want a degree, you may apply for non-degree status. In this case, official transcripts are not needed.

How can I get my grades?
Grades, unofficial transcripts, and class offerings can be accessed through MYSTUFF. Official transcripts can be obtained through the Registrar's Office.

How do I access MYSTUFF?
You will need an IT username/password. Please call (883-HELP) - you will need to provide them with your name, student ID, & last 4 digits of your social security number.

If you need a username/password for MYSTUFF, click on the link, go to MYSTUFF for EDP students, and follow the prompts under USER ACCOUNT. Your username will appear after prompts; once you complete the appropriate information, your password will be e-mailed to your High Point University e-mail account. You will receive an e-mail response within 5 minutes.

Can I get credit for life experience?
In most instances, yes! Students can potentially earn up to 12 elective hours for Credit for Prior Learning. Please see an advisor to find out if the CPL can benefit you.

Who is my academic advisor?
In your initial admission packet there is an academic advisors business card included to help you get started. However, any EDP staff member can assist you with academic advising at any time. Just call 336.767.7107 to reach an advisor at the Winston-Salem Campus or 336.841.9020 to reach the High Point Campus.

Is it important to meet with my academic advisor?
Yes. Academic advisors offer advice and counsel in the planning of a course of study as well as the general orientation of High Point University. Advisors also serve as guides to successful degree completion. It is important to meet with your academic advisor several times a year to help plan fall/spring and summer classes and ensure all requirements are meet and classes are taken in an appropriate order.
